I went to sleep last night real early because I was exhuasted. Anyways, to try to keep my self awake I held my arm up in the air. But it didn't work. I fell asleep. When my arm got tired it fell and hit me in the eye. And when I woke up I didn't know what hit me cause my arm was asleep from blood loss.

Has anything like this happened to you? Post away.

lol ! i stick my arm up in the air when i'm trying to go to sleep but i cant say that's ever happened to me before...

but often when i'm just about to fall asleep i get woken up by a sudden feeling that i'm falling, like a sensation of a sharp drop. I read somewhere that this is a physical manifestation of 'falling asleep'

Yeah I always dream that I am in a race and I crash my car. The cool thing is is that the mind works so quick it makes it seem like it was part of reality to make sense of it. I always think that I crash at the end of a dream, when infact my mind has altered my sence of time so that it seems like the dream happened before the jolt of my muscles instead of the split second after.

Very cool stuff.

One time in a mountain hut right after an eruption here I must have fallen asleep with my arm underneath my neck somehow. Anyway, about 2am I wake up, and fell someones arm around me. I'm like wondering who the heck is there. I touch the hand, it's not mine, I can't fell it... It's pitch dark, I follow the arm all the way to... me... At this point I start to freak out, because in ash from eruptions is Arsenic, and the first sign of arsenic poisoning is losing feeling in extremities. I was scared witless for at least 10 minutes till feeling started to return to my arm. Probably the most scared I've been my entire life.
